anybody having crazy brokerage fees from UPS from USA to Canada??
Had a nice seller check with UPS for a 100USD set would cost me 300USD in Taxes
and brokerage fees, not including shipping to send to Toronto!
Also had a week old order come in and UPS charged 45 USD as taxes and brokerage
for a 20 USD order again not including shipping.
Should I use only USPS or Fedex or they also are charging crazy fees?
Can I file complaint with UPS for brokerage? I was charged 35 USD brokerage fee
for a bubble mailer.
I WILL be nice to shipper of course NOT asking anything from seller as that's
not their fault for the situation we are... Please no political comments here
just help dealing with shippers.

Yes, it’s a known issue with UPS. They are leagues and bounds higher than every
other company in terms of fees (for select shipping methods at least). I’ve heard
you can self declare the package with customs and pay much less in fees but you
have to drive to a customs place which may not be an option for you and it can
be a hassle.
USPS will do finally mile delivery with Canada post which has a base fee of like
$10-$15 for the package + regular tax (and maybe other fees if the item is tariffed?),
then fedex is a bit higher then Canada post for fees but they can be the more
difficult one to pay.
Personally I recommend DHL or Canada Post for the best lowest fees cost and ease
of delivery

Only USPS.
If sent with usps, it would be handled to canadapost and they might let lego
go with no charges.
Because of high shipping costs i don’t often buy from usa.
For larger packages, i.e. total sizes more than 85cm ish or wieght over 4lbs
I would request seller if he can use UPS via betparcel because it would at least
cost like 40-50usd cheaper than usps and you would have to pay custom fee but
that’s then ok.
You can also self account the packages from ups if you have a cbsa office near
you. I have done it but you need to kearn what documents and how to ask from
ips.
