This color still eludes me.

Would you say it exists in between medium blue and sand blue?

And what's with the "new" vs "old" dye lot chatter?

Its name comes from it use in Maersk sets, but parts from newer and older Maersk
sets don't quite match.

I would say Maersk Blue is between Medium Blue and Medium Azure.
