Hi

A really useful feature would be the ability to upload certain steps as a wanted
list. So for example instead of uploading a whole design you could upload Steps
1-20 then steps 21-40. That would make bagging up custom kits that have more
than one bag much easier to do!

You could add them to separate wants lists and handle them separately that way.
But how would it help, as you would need the seller to bag lots according to
your instructions and probably even break lots (of the same part) across bags.

You can do that from Studio:
— make a (temporary) submodel for the steps,
(— click on the first part in the first step in the Step List,
     — shift+click on the last part in the last step you want in the Step List,
     — make a submodel by clicking Create Submodel,)
— use the Model » Model Info dialog to upload the submodel in a WL (https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/5705925898135-Upload-as-a-Wanted-List#h_01J0W10VFVACX7W2MYP05A3X6T
).

But how would it help, as you would need the seller to bag lots according to
your instructions and probably even break lots (of the same part) across bags.

Also, you then have two possibilities:
1. You buy all the WLs together, and therefore it’s as if they were in one WL:
the order(s) doesn’t(don’t) track what lot/part go in what WL, the seller can’t
bag them separately.  Pointless change.
2. You buy the WLs separately, and therefore you have a great risk of getting
multiple orders / multiple sellers, which will make the total cost increase significantly.

And you still need to count / check the parts when bagging up the custom sets
or risk having the BL seller make an error that becomes your own error if you
sell the custom set.
