I have stopped leaving feedback for sellers who don't leave feedback first.
Not that any of them will care. My little protest
I buy expensive bricks, minifigs, and sets. Hard to find stuff. When I put together
one of those orders and pay 2 minutes after the invoice without a single question,
without any hassle at all, I expect good feedback from a seller.
I'm not a new buyer and I have left a lot of good feedback. Sellers could
see that if they took the time to look, like right after I paid them $100 for
a minifig.

I'm tired of it. It is weak.
not sure if it helps, but bricklink does not prompt a seller to leave feedback
until an order is marked as complete, so that's when most leave the feedback

There are more than a few sellers who won't leave feedback until the buyer
does, whether marked Complete or not.

indeed, some also only leave in batches, some join the "circle" of not
leaving until the other party does, etc but in general from my experience most
will at some point after i mark it as complete

Out of interest, why do you not only want but expect it? Once you have enough
feedback to look like a good buyer, more feedback doesn't change anything.
In reality, as long as you are not negative overall, you can place orders in
all stores as long as there are no other restrictions. A buyer's feedback
score is pretty much irrelevant apart from as a score to show how many orders
they've placed.

I'd reply that, in my case, I'm not happy with the transaction if the
seller waits for my positive ( "to be sure" ) to leave one (while I've
done everything fine).
I'm not unhappy enough to leave a non positive, but I simply don't leave
any. And I don't care receive one or not.

A balanced method of protesting

Understand your frustration with this practice

"Weak?" I don't know, perhaps. My advise is to give less of a hoot
about the whole "feedback" aspect of buying LEGO
As a seller who does a couple hundred transactions a month on this platform,
and who, so far, has only left feedback once, about 500 transactions at-a-time,
and it took several hours to do it, and I'm probably not going to do it again
anytime soon, I would absolutely leave a buyer feedback if they asked for it
in the notes section of the order page. The reality is: running a store is hard
work! Long hours. And, anytime I'm spending time on anything not directly
related to fulfilling orders is time being spent that delays customer receiving
their orders. So, short of having software that automates this process, which
I'd like to get ahold of someday, it's always going to be a choice between
making some percentage of customers have to wait an extra day for their package,
because I'm all out of time at the end of the work day to do it.
Anyway, hope this perspective helps. If feedback matters to you, just ask a store
to leave you feedback in the notes.
Some of the largest stores in the United States only get feedback 30% of the
time, and these are stores with millions of pieces. If feedback was important,
I would spend more time on it. But, what seems more important is fast shipping!!!

I just set up brickfreedom to post feedback automatically once I mark an order
Shipped. No fuss, no muss
