Next time, allow the announcement banner "Close" function, to actually
function

So much unnecessary animosity manifested from a simple pre-weekend coding
glitch. It's at this point, shameful.

Indeed, but at least the ad blocked workaround (mostly) works

It's still there? They can't turn off a banner in 72 plus hours? I am
at a loss for words.

Because of this, I don't even know when it'll shut down, so unhappy this
stupid sticky banner made me

Well, in that case, they should remove the Close X text... and just leave the
ugly banner.

I was gonna answer with a simile, comparing us to the Monty Python’s Black Knight’s
“’Tis but a scrach,” with BL cutting us limb by limb but our staying here nonetheless,
mordicus, but this happened: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1511092

Okay I will give it a try!

Can someone who has been paying closer attention point out the first time the
Paid(!) was reported? Has there been any indication or word from BL about this
on any forums that we know of? I want to get my facts straight before I start
mouthing off...

At the very least, I can bring this up at the next Catalog Panel even though
it's a Marketplace thing.

Not a fix, but an acknowledgement that the community has asked for for weeks.

I would feel a bit better if they had more of the details correct, but it is,
indeed, a start.

What about the EU Compliance Alert banner then? They couldn't turn that off

Sigh... I guess BrickLink should now come with a user manual on how to set up
browser add-ons the make the site bearable.

You could list it in your store as a custom item.

I am more concerned about the lack of any communication regarding the PayPal
"Paid !" anomaly.

I was bitten by this with a brand new user, I can imagine how they perceive Bricklink
and hope they will try yet a 3rd time to pay, so they can get their order.

I am not worried about a banner that doesn't work, I am worried about the
eroding confidence in our payment system.

Let's have the devs focus on that and an admin, preferably Russell, officially
acknowledge the issue.

We know the issue exists, does Bricklink?

Thankfully we were able to catch 2 of them before shipping. With an instant pay
checkout option I expect the orders on my waiting to be fulfilled page to actually,
you know, be paid for. Silly of me; I know.
