Hi all! Would greatly appreciate if someone can tell me if a feature like this
exists:
Lets say my store sells an order A and it has 10 lots in it. I pack up the order
and ship it out... But now I want to view the 10 lots purchased in this order
in my inventory all on one page, and I might want to edit the inventory.
So the way I've been doing it is going to my inventory and searching manually
for the model numbers of the pieces purchased, individually, one at a time. This
gets tedious for larger orders.
Is there a way to pull up all the lots in my inventory that were purchased in
this order A? In a single page? That way I can see the quantities, the descriptions
and prices, and make adjustments I see fit or just leave it the same. Maybe I
want to remove some items from my inventory now that they are getting low, or
edit the price, etc.,
There should be a way to paste in an order number, and then have bricklink pull
up the all the lots that were purchased in that order for edit. This code would
not be hard to write.

Brickstore may be able to help with this, download your order, download your
inventory, compare, adjust prices and qty, then update your inventory, or on
the order itself you can view the price and remaining qty and if you want to
change anything you can just click on the number remaining which will bring you
to its page (you may need to enable that by scrolling down on an order and adjusting
your display settings)

A good question.
We've done something similar for years now. That is, as an order received
is being processed, we'll routinely spot-check the remaining lots of the
ordered items for correctness; price, quality, quantity, etc. All done on the
order details page using the "Show Qty Left in Store Inventory"
function, which manifests as an active link next to each item within the order
if inventory remains that is, and as we don't use the "Retain"
feature.
You can retroactively do the same inventory control with orders up to 6 months
before they're purged
Do what popsicle showed and your orders will look like this. The "Left"
(what's left in your inventory) column is a link directly to that lot in
your inventory as well. So as you're pulling parts you can spot check your
numbers and if you spot a discrepancy you can go directly to the lot and correct
the remaining quantity.
The red one at the top is what happens if you set your inventory to retain item
after sold out. Otherwise it will be an X and the lot will forever be deleted
from your inventory. It's up to you what you want to do there as there are
pros and cons to doing it both ways.
This was exactly the answer I was looking for. I can easily right click or control
click and open in new tab, and pull up the entire order in my inventory. The
only upgrade to this feature would be if we could get them all on one page /
tab ( in inventory ). But this will more than do for now!
This tip would have saved me dozens of HOURS over the years. Oh my gosh. Thank
you so much you ARE A LIFE SAVER. I wish I had known about this sooner. This
feature should be turned on by default.
