A while back, I found several copies of

Part No: 3626pb0439 Name: Minifigure, Head Female Reddish Brown Thin Eyebrows, Black Long Eyelashes, Nougat Lips, Open Mouth Smile with Teeth Pattern
*
3626pb0439 Minifigure, Head Female Reddish Brown Thin Eyebrows, Black Long Eyelashes, Nougat Lips, Open Mouth Smile with Teeth Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Head {Yellow}
(image 1) and noticed
that they looked slightly different. At first, I chalked it up to standard print
variation, but then I looked more into it. The part has 2 pcc's and it was
found in 2 sets. I then went and purchased a brand new sealed copy of each of
the 2 sets and compared them, it seems to be 2 distinct versions.

Version 1 is found in

Set No: col01 Name: Cheerleader, Series 1 (Complete Set with Stand and Accessories)
*
col01-2 (Inv) Cheerleader, Series 1 (Complete Set with Stand and Accessories)
3 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2010
Sets: Collectible Minifigures: Series 1 Minifigures
and it has dark brown eyebrows and lavender
lips.

Version 2 is found in

Set No: 853195 Name: Brick Calendar
*
853195-1 (Inv) Brick Calendar
112 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2011
Sets: LEGO Brand: LEGO Brand Store: Office Supplies
and has reddish brown eyebrows and peach lips.

I've included a comparison image of the 2 (image 2). The colors might not
be quite as visible as different in the images, but they do seem quite different
in person. Should I create some new entries for this? also the eyelash design
seems a little different

Interesting, but what are your thoughts about the consistently different eyebrow
colors, eyelash designs, and lip colors? I have multiple copies of both which
are consistent with the versions rather than just all slightly varying in color

I'd split about anything, but I have become discouraged in that. It's
not clear whether the difference was intentional and it will be difficult for
sellers less keen-eyed than you (about all of them) to get the right one.

I think we agree on that the differences like that “call” to me asking
to be split

  but I have become discouraged in that.

Same, it seems in most cases it isn’t a split but some are which is encouraging

Hopefully a little more noticeable then those ufo stickers from the post the
other day

Well, I mostly like to avoid splits where your average seller is not going to
be able to distinguish differences. Then, there's the idea of LEGO intending
this to be different? Or intending it to be the same but failing in the execution?

Well, I mostly like to avoid splits where your average seller is not going to
be able to distinguish differences.

on the split side, collectors may like it specifically since this part is used
on a cmf rather then just your standard lego element, also lip color difference
is a "common" reason (such as peach - red) for other heads being separate
entries

  Then, there's the idea of LEGO intending
this to be different? Or intending it to be the same but failing in the execution?

personally I believe it was intentional as they look similar but not the same
as pretty much everything is slightly different between the 2, the eyelash design
being thicker (more noticeable on the 1 side then the other), the eyebrow colors
being different, and the lip color being different

quite possible we will have to see what the admins decide if the possible
accident is "large enough" to we worth a new entry even if it wasn't
intentional or if a note is all that's needed

I wish I had kept track of it because now I have forgotten what it was, but there
is a torso (Ninjago I think) that was clearly redrawn within the same year.
I guess from one factory to another, but for some reason someone else remade
it with all the same details but the shapes of things were different.

  I would say that they intended to make the same print for a different system

I wish I had kept track of it because now I have forgotten what it was, but there
is a torso (Ninjago I think) that was clearly redrawn within the same year.
I guess from one factory to another, but for some reason someone else remade
it with all the same details but the shapes of things were different.

Interesting! That would be interesting to see

Parts: Minifigure, Head {Yellow}

The colors might not
be quite as visible as different in the images, but they do seem quite different
in person. Should I create some new entries for this? also the eyelash design
seems a little different

to help better show the differences, i created a comparison image. hopefully
this helps show the differences better

I have asked for official information for the two element numbers (PCCs). We
shall see if it tells us anything.

The second element number 6045727 returned exactly the design and color information
that is in the title of the part. So, the one from the calendar is confirmed.
The element number from the CMF (4565283) did not return a design document, but
I am checking one more number to see if anything comes up. If it doesn't,
I believe we would just stick with the single entry and chalk it up to poor color
matching between production runs of the part.

Thankyou for checking! Sounds good, if it dosent get split I can update the comparison

The extra search only turned up a render that looks the same as the render for
the other one, so the colors are probably the same for that design. With what
we know, I would not split this item. You may submit a nice comparison image
if you would like to.

sounds good! thank you very much for your time . I've requested this image
be added to the part as a new image, perhaps a small note may help users out
in regards to it, thankyou for all of your time on this!

The colors might not
be quite as visible as different in the images, but they do seem quite different
in person. Should I create some new entries for this? also the eyelash design
seems a little different

to help better show the differences, i created a comparison image. hopefully
this helps show the differences better

If you ask me it looks like just varying print stamps and ink, something coming
from two different factories

isn't that then the definition of a different print different stamp
and different ink (leading to consistently different color eyebrows and lips)
