If BrickLink is going to note that some pieces are in lemon (ie. 4839), why don't
they recognize it?

It's just not the same name, here it's Light Lime:

I was answering to you: No, Lemon’s not just called Light Lime by BL,
it’s a different colour that BL has decided didn’t deserve to be separated from
Light Lime.

In that note, BL says it’s a different colour, and as pointed by Popsicle, BL
recognizes it by saying it’s not recognized.

So in short, LEGO Lemon color items are found here in Light Lime color.
Which is roughly "here it's Light Lime" as I said?

You'll tell me no, it's different.
Please don't, I'm busy - January is a lot of work for sellers. Cheers!

Clearly, OP talked about that note, on that part and on others.  So they already
know Lemon is bundled with Lime Light on BL.
Telling them that again and again doesn’t answer their question.

Indeed, and I just did

Not happy when there’s not enough orders.

Seems to be more a question of weak-wording of the note itself.

The only recognition is within the Duplo line, under another name:

It's interesting, LEGO color history and branding

Adding older colors to BrickLink is not a priority. Having said that, I have
had a lot of older colors added to the catalog over the last 4-5 yaars, and there
are plans to add more of them. Unfortunately, I have not had the time to get
around to all of them. The notes are a simple way to let users know that a part
in a certain color is not actually the same color as all other parts in that
color on BrickLink. Also, some older colors will probably never be recognized
here.

Cheers,
Randy

Just realized Rose Pink is just the old 'Light Pink' being renamed, so
technically not new, oops, but still cool!
