As the title says, I am trying to open a new store and PayPal won't connect.

Anyone else having this issue?

I go to become a seller, I fill out all the info and then click the connect PayPal
button.
I log into PayPal and click to use my personal account and then it say success
and has a link
to go back to brick link. I click that and boom it goes back to brick link and
the page is all blank
nothing saved.

need some advice on how to fix

You aren't authorized to sell yet, as you don't have the selling privilege
(a green square next to your current buyer's one).

You've to wait for verification and approval.
I don't know the delays, count on dayS or even couple weekS.

You seem to be getting things backwards. You first have to upgrade to seller
and then connect you PayPal and not connect your PayPal then upgrade to seller.
If you look at your id card on your forum posts you will see only 1 green box
to indicate your a buyer but if you look at 1001bricks post or my id card on
this one you will see 2 green boxes indicating we are sellers

Fill out my currency, where I can ship to and agree to the terms.
that should allow me to apply to become a seller but the box doesn't let
me click.
im assuming it wants me to connect my PayPal before allowing me to apply.

but that's when im having the issues.

I think you’re right: I was explained I had to connect my PayPal to become a
seller (to become a moderator).
But that was 4 years ago and I benefited from what we call a “coupe-file” in
French (queue-cut).

Nubs is just old enough not to have had to go through the verification process
(https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2440 ), and 1001 is touchy when we
talk about his age, so we won’t… er… oops?
So both aren’t the best to answer that.

BTW, IIRC, the connection should send you to PayPal to authorize BrickLink to
tinker with your (Onsite) transactions.  That’s why you need to “connect,” so
that BL(’s partner) can add and collect taxes on the transactions the laws wants
them to do it.
So: are you sent to PP?  Are you authorizing BL?

I guess the easiness to make and buy WLs has a hand in that.
More people are coming just to buy one MOC/WL and only that MOC/WL, and they
don’t browse or add more parts.

(I always buy more than needed )

do testing to see if it hurts sales more to charge fees or to put a min purchase
value per lot? Both have negatives so I just wanted to check

That's too complicated.

A plate I sell 0.05 why would I put it at 6 or 7 cents; people buying them by
100 or 500 wouldn't buy them anymore.

It's easy to sell 500 Plates 1x1, it takes 1 minute.
But it takes 30 seconds to sell a single.

That's too complicated.

100 or 500 wouldn't buy them anymore.

It's easy to sell 500 Plates 1x1, it takes 1 minute.
But it takes 30 seconds to sell a single.

You could do qty discounts on large qty items and for low qty items it wouldn’t
matter to much as those are usually found based off wanted list searches and
not manual lookups (and I think I heard the wanted list based cart making takes
estimates of shipping/fees into account when choosing which means I slightly
higher prices wouldn’t hurt your wanted list matches)

A plate I sell 0.05 why would I put it at 6 or 7 cents; people buying them by
100 or 500 wouldn't buy them anymore.

It's easy to sell 500 Plates 1x1, it takes 1 minute.
But it takes 30 seconds to sell a single.

You could do qty discounts on large qty items and for low qty items it wouldn’t
matter to much as those are usually found based off wanted list searches and
not manual lookups (and I think I heard the wanted list based cart making takes
estimates of shipping/fees into account when choosing which means I slightly
higher prices wouldn’t hurt your wanted list matches)

To reply, take this 79 lots for 5€ maybe an increase would make 79 lots for what
6€ (that's already a 20% price increase)! And that wouldn't change anything.

indeed! those low value high lot orders are the worst, but if you then had the
minimum lot value then they would have to buy more of that item or a higher value
item which makes it more worth it.

  A tiny order is no problem (yesterday 1 part).
We just added to it 0.10 because if not we simply can't anymore.
For the buyer it's just 0.10 - it doesn't mean he can't.

for things like that, it could be best to then raise your shipping prices to
be an "all inclusive" package so that people could do this.

for example

scenario 1

person buys .10 brick + .10 fee + $2 shipping = $2.20

Scenario 2

person buys .10 brick + $2.10 shipping = $2.20

scenario 3

person wants to buy a .10 brick, but you have a min lot value of .20 then they
buy 2 + $2 shipping = $2.20

but yes, its like you mentioned, its not a simple solution and each method has
their drawback and with this, there are many factors to take into account which
would change numbers such as what if it was 2 lots of 5 cent bricks or what if
it was this or that. I'm just secretly hoping there is a no fee method available

I should've change the title, at least, but didn't guess it'd start

Yes, it's the first time we've any fee (below a certain threshold), I
don't complain and don't seek for empathy It's just the no fee
model doesn't work anymore for us.

Neither for Pick a Brick, and they're far more organized and have access
to cheap merchandise and labor than we all are I guess

You seem to be getting things backwards. You first have to upgrade to seller
and then connect you PayPal and not connect your PayPal then upgrade to seller.
If you look at your id card on your forum posts you will see only 1 green box
to indicate your a buyer but if you look at 1001bricks post or my id card on
this one you will see 2 green boxes indicating we are sellers

And mine is even greener, I'm a better one!

You seem to be getting things backwards. You first have to upgrade to seller

All form data has been deleted and I'm STILL not connected with PayPal....

I have tried several browsers and cleared cookies and cache and it's still
not working. What do I do??
