Been a fan of lighting kits coz I love LED's in almost anything. Have still
yet to actually light my own sets. There seem to be 3 big players: Light My Bricks,
Briksmax and Lightailing. Please add others if you know? Almost all don't
directly ship to South Africa without 3rd parties like Amazon etc
One half of me says that cosmetic enhancements shouldn't cost 80-90% of the
set itself and the other say's "it's just money" =)
My question? Has anyone tried cheaper options from the Chinese markets like Alibaba
or Temu? I feel because of the price even if it's terrible I haven't
lost that much

I bought a version on AliExpress I believe, it was only a few bucks as you mentioned.
For the Jazz Club 10312. Here's a little video of it going, haven't installed
it in the set yet but it works the exact same wire setup as all the other lighting
kits. https://youtube.com/shorts/KupYr5xpeiI?si=8bQOimteCdJna5DH
