Have any of the sellers had an issue where you sell a rather large set, like
around 4000 pieces and then about 2-3 weeks later the buyer comes back and says
they dont think all of the pieces are there, and by all, I mean like bags worth
of pieces. not like 1-3 pieces missing. The buyer hasn't even attempted
to build it completely. They are just assuming not everything is there.

Not 100% sure what to do at this point so any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Normally, I take a pic of my out going orders so I know what I packed, but 4000
pieces would give me pause.

Ask them to be really specific.
Ask for pics of the shipping box to check for damage.
Describe to them how you packed the order and what size bags those parts would
have been in.
Ask them if they may have mixed up the parts with other orders or sets.

Be sympathetic but firm that they need to really demonstrate that they are sure
the parts are missing. The more details you can drag out of them, the more likely
they will ‘find’ what’s missing

Good luck,
~Jen

Thanks for the reply.

I did find out that nothing was damaged and they recieved the two large bags
that were shipped. I did ask them to build the set and document any missing
pieces that they encountered. As of this moment, nothing has been missing(couldn't
find for a step). It has just been the assumption that pieces are missing because
it doesn't appear that there are that many pieces in the bags. Its the Old
Trafford Stadium set so it has quite a few small pieces.

They are saying parts are missing when they haven't even checked. Nice. Well,
keep at it. Keep being as polite as possible and leave them room to say Nevermind!
if they do come around.

I once had a buyer say I missed an item in an order. They had ordered two small
electronic sensors. I showed them the image of the two parts that I took when
I packed the order. They replied that something had to be missing because the
parts they purchased were expensive and the ones I shipped were 'too small'.
Sigh...
