This is so much true! Thank you Jen for visualizing this (you're a graphic

I consider myself more of a graphic artist then a designer. I didn't like
designing for other people apparently.
It is easier to communicate sometimes with images. Saying 'There are too
many steps!' is not as powerful as 'Whoa, look at all these steps!'
Although, like you, I think there are errors in the new design, I still am in

That's nice that you found something to like here . As someone who prized
efficiency above all else, I have found not one single thing I like about the
new interface. It probably doesn't help that I detest modern, minimalist
design either. So, I might not be a fair judge! I like color, variety, and texture.
It is like this with everything you need to get into, step after step, after
step. Just how many people would be using this on their phone anyway?

with the changes it now may take longer to get to some pages but there's
no reason to get too frustrated considering all you have to do is save the most
important pages to you fav bar and walla, one click to get to Everywhere Important

I would like to point out that I didn't have to use favs or bookmarks or
any such thing on any of my devices before Monday. So, it's not 2 clicks.
It's resetting and relearning entire patterns. It's having a bookmark
bar open on all my browsers all the time just to use this one site. It's
annoying which is why I get to complain about it.
they mentioned multiple times it was due to backend changes. the website is infamous
for its spaghetti code, aka it was broken and the entire thing needs updating,
when you update, you might as well go for a new look to be more with the times
and that likely how we ended up where we are today. once they fix the messed-up
links and such, it will likely be an overall positive for the average new user
which increases orders for sellers, the con is that its a different system that
makes certain things more difficult then they were before which we are hoping
they fix

I guess I have been using shortcuts on my favorites bar for most of the pages
I use on BrickLink for so long that for me the changes have had little impact
on the way I use the site but for those who have mostly just used the links within
BrickLink and then to have that all change overnight can be frustrating. I should
have worded my response differently.
I am not a fan of this new bar, design, layout...blah-blah.
I went through the same steps just to get to the forum. A redo is definitely
in order.
