New Navigation Menu: We’re reorganizing the menu for easier access while
keeping most of your favorite functionality and options intact.
Retiring old features: Rarely used pages, like some BrickLink XP pages,
will be removed to meet our privacy and compliance requirements. Popular pages
like the Catalog Inventory Comparison Tool and BrickLink Designer Program pages
will remain supported.
What do you need to know?
BrickLink XP pages marked with "BETA" will redirect to new pages or helpful
resources.
Any photos that you want to keep from the Member Collage or ID Card Pic Gallery
must be saved by December 16, 2024. ID Card Pics are still in use, but the Gallery
is retiring.

I'm surprised that only "some" are rarely used!
“Most” would be better.
It’s not “all” because there’s the page where you can enter your phone number
They aren't Used, they're even like New!
Only handled by AFOLs for display only. Mostly never saw any sunlight
Hey, he used the phrase "like new" to describe something used (even though
rarely) so as the moderator here, why haven't you banned him from the forums???

I do hope you're keeping "old" version of pages like price guide,
orders, member info, etc - I (personally) still use every day and I do preferate
to the equivalent "new" ones.
I also hope it won't break BrickStore or such tools many people count on
nowadays.
Apart this, I'm sure cleaning a bit will help! Thank you!

As of now the only way to add or change your address phone number is only available
on the XP addresses page, will the classic site be updated to add this missing
functionality before you erase the new pages?
"We appreciate these changes require some adjustment, such as the new navigation
bar and moving to a LEGO Account as the sign-on authentication. "
from the back of my mind: there was something a while back about setting up/connecting
Bricklink to LEGO.com accounts.. I personally didn't do anything at the
time.
Is this change connected or is this something different?
Does the fact that seller accounts are businesses as opposed to LEGO.com accounts
only ever being "personal use only" change anything?
Can sellers therefore get a "business account" with LEGO.com. And wholesale
prices too of course...

Yes, at the time, they asked us to “reserve” our usernames on LEGO.com. IOW,
be sure you have matching usernames so it won’t change when the logins are merged
(and I say “login” not “account” because it’s hopefully all they’ll share).

The announcement and menu line is now approx. 50% larger (went from 86 pixels
to 131 pixels) than before which means there is now less space for contents in
the rest of the screen than before. The font size is also huge, much larger than
the rest of the site. Sorry, but I'm not a fan.

Yep and why such a huge footer?
But the footer only appears when you specifically choose to scroll all the way
down to bottom of page and so its not intrusive to overall navigation of site?

The footer could be 3 screens high but then who cares for the one who scrolls,
sure.
I hadn’t noticed but there’s “IBAN” in the small, unclickable, all-very-dark-grey
icons of “Popular Payment Options.” As if that was the same thing as VISA or
PayPal… which are already not the same thing.

And technically it's SEPA iirc, but who cares, everyone call this IBAN transfer.
I hadn’t noticed but there’s “IBAN” in the small, unclickable, all-very-dark-grey

More precisely:
— IBAN is a standard (ISO 13616, thank you WP).
— VISA, America Express, Mastercard, and Discover are corporations specializing
in payment cards (or brands thereof).
— PayPal is a corporation too, that specializes in online payments.
Stripe is missing too but it’s “a proxy” for payment methods, and “a step removed”
relatively to PayPal.
Stripe isn’t a bank / you don’t have money on your Stripe account. You also
don’t need a Stripe account as a buyer.
Also, BL only allows payment cards through Stripe, so it’d be confusing to say
“Stripe” when 1) people don’t know what Stripe is, 2) you don’t need an account
so you don’t need to know what it is, 3) not all methods are supported.
And technically it's SEPA iirc, but who cares, everyone call this IBAN transfer.
Nope, that doesn’t work either: SEPA is an, er, “area” or a “directive,” maybe
“treaty” would be the closest term….
The payment method is “bank transfers,” and there’s no logo, no corporation behind
it. And there’s no processor for it, it’s all manual (or a bit less manual when
the seller sends a link to one of the processors, like iDeal).

New Navigation Menu: We’re reorganizing the menu for easier access while

So far it's been the opposite of streamlined, things that I used to access
by 1 click on the header menu (My Orders, My Wanted List) are now 3 clicks deep
into menus, since I first have to open the menu, then click My Account, then
select them. And in exchange there's just a lot of whitespace in the header.
To explain where I'm coming from I should write how I use the site - I have
about 8 Wanted Lists of parts ongoing, each time I start a new project I add
a list, dump the entire inventory for the project into it from an external source
(xml), use the "Have" quantity to mark ones I already own, then when
I'm ready to buy parts, I use the search to populate some carts, open each
of those stores, and check through my other Wanted Lists to add parts. Then
once I've placed those orders, I wait for them to arrive, mark them off the
Wanted Lists assuming they arrived correctly, clear out any completed lists,
and go back to the start. So the things I mentioned (My Orders, My Wanted Lists)
are probably 99% of the time the first thing I click when I visit, either to
check their status or to update them.
I can see that the carts have been given top-level status (visible on the title
bar along with search, and nothing else) and it just doesn't really apply
to my process, since I open and buy the carts within the same session.
The person who decided to launch this the week before Christmas needs sacking.
Can we access the old system? I don't have time to go searching for the page
I want on this useless new set up.

Thanks for being part of the BrickLink community!
Your BrickLink Team
This is the most annoying panel I have seen.
So large and still vissible at the expense of work space. Why is it still vissible
?
And white everywhere.
It is also better to make your own bookmarks in the browser than to click through
the menu.
The new navigation bar is tragic. A huge loss of functionality.
Have Lego have decided to destroy Bricklink and are taking the steps needed to
achieve that?
This looks to be the second step in that process. The first was the removal all
the really useful cross-links on the part catalog pages a couple of weeks ago.
For parts with very similar variants you used to be able to click through to
the right page and for things with associated parts there used to be links to
them. ALL GONE!
Did you perhaps 'Collapse' the Additional Notes section??

In a few weeks, we’ll be rolling out several updates to BrickLink.com.
These include a fresh navigation menu, backend updates, and the retirement of
some outdated features. Many of these changes come from your feedback about the
site and are designed to improve functionality, streamline your experience, and
support the platform's long-term growth.
So, what’s changing?
New Navigation Menu: We’re reorganizing the menu for easier access while
keeping most of your favorite functionality and options intact.
A saw the new navigation menu for a couple days, and now it's gone. Completely
gone. There are no links, no headers, no search bar, just a big blank white space.
The footer with links to the About pages and contact info and so on is also completely
gone. I had to resort to a Google search to find a link directly to the forums
to write this message. On pages that are longer than a screen-full, the page
ends just above the footer. If the page is short enough that the footer should
be visible without scrolling, the footer is also a big blank white space.
Blankness occurs on latest Google Chrome on Windows 10. And, like I said, didn't
happen when the new navigation was rolled out, but a couple days later. I still
can see the navigation bar and footer using MSEdge on the same OS, and I can
see it on both Safari and Chrome on macOS.

No problems here on Windows 10 Home and Google Chrome Version 131.0.6778.140.
How certain are you that you don't have a program, firewall, or add-on blocking
certain features?

Seems you might have an extension that is blocking the loading of scripts on
Bricklink, try disabling it on this page.
On mobile, it's hard to view my cart while browsing a store. I have to click
the cart button at the top right and scroll through all the carts where I have
items.

If you can’t edit your WL, it seems more that you have the error: “Only one item/color
combination is allowed per wanted list.”
That ONE of your lists has duplicate items and that blocks ALL your lists.

What do I need to do to get the vertical scrollbar back? I can't see the
bottom of the screen, I can't scroll down to see anything. In order to find
the parts I am trying to find I have to zoom the screen until the text is too
small to read, but I can at least see the entire page.

Argh.
Hi,
It looks like what happens when the cookies banner blocks the navigation but
the banner itself doesn’t show.

Will this be fixed any time soon? The search area refuses to get bigger for me
at this size of window which is what I use to browse the site. Those who are
not familiar with the website won't even realize there is an area they can
type in! I complained about this when this first rolled out and the issue has
still not been addressed.

1) +1. I would find it most useful to have the option to set an alternate menu
view (checkbox to choose which of those four menus to display) in the seller
options when logged in. When acting as a seller I do not need Studio and BrickLink
Designer Program taking up space. If the menus that people decline to see all
the time could be consolidated in some way similar to the view on mobile devices
would help regain the space for the search bar (when in portrait or side-by-side
viewing) on a desktop.
2) And likewise, since its menu bar related, is this on the radar?

[Hamburger menu disappears off the right hand side of the screen when in the
Orders page when not viewing at fullscreen on a desktop monitor]
3) The I find "My Store Inventory" or any choice on the All items drop
down menu at the front of the search box, does not get passed through from page
to page (for me, on Safari). So after I search for something in My Inventory,
that box defaults back to All items. If I'm working in My Store Inventory
I want to stay in there. I thought it used to prior to the big menu bar change
since I ran afoul of it searching the whole catalog enough times since? I would
find it useful if whatever option in that All items drop menu you last picked
was retained as you move from page to page.
