I ordered an order of bricks and pieces back in October on LEGO.com and it still
says "in warehouse." LEGO is a giant company with tons of employees.
Even if the bricks and pieces orders are human-hand picked, there's no reason
for it to take a month to ship. Does anyone have any idea why it takes so long?

I'm going to suggest you might get a better answer from Lego customer service

You might even get the order kicked loose from whatever has it stuck

I tried. They basically said that it was taking so long because it was taking
so long.

if they are non-bestseller parts it can take up to 28 business days, which is
approx. 6 weeks because Saturday/Sunday/public holidays are not included, before
they even ship it.

you are assuming "The Warehouse" is something local ...

ever ponder -- what Country is the Warehouse in....?

Lego is notoriously slow on the pick a brick type orders. A month is quick.

from what i gather, seemingly all orders with non-popular parts are taking in
excess of 5 weeks, US customs for ground imports is a typical 28-35 days (referencing
our previous from Amazon / China purchases)

might be something along those lines if the majority of purchases are being delayed
28-35 days. likely over 35 days considering time of year / holidays

not China, but some other country they are importing from where their Warehouse
is located.

I have an answer!!!!

I have the same issue. 2 orders outstanding from Oct 16 and 26. Contacted a human
through the chat service and was informed that they closed "the warehouse"
for 2 weeks for upgrades causing everything to back up and fall behind.

After thanking the woman I took their survey and mentioned that communication
is the key to good customer service and that if they wanted to keep a stellar
reputation for customer service that they needed to inform their customers when
there would be an additional 14 day delay on their shipping. That the LEGO community
is small and we all talk. I would be sure to pass along the information to all
the other AFOLs I knew waiting on an order from them.

So here I am passing that info on to all of you.

Happy building!

Ginny
