Is there a reason that all of the items that sold out in one of my orders went
to my stockroom instead of being removed completely? I only have one item that
is supposed to be retained after selling out. Thanks!

Yes, they do this if you click "retain" in your inventory.

I have nothing set to retain in my inventory, yet I will randomly have whole
orders with 50+ lots all being retained. Is this some sort of glitch or some
other setting based on the order?

It's normal.
Items are put in Stockroom for 10 minutes while the buyer has to pay on PayPal/Stripe
if on site payment mode.
Normally after the payment what remains come back to normal stock.
Sometimes it's stuck up after the daily maintenance midnight EST.
Some rare times it never goes back, you've to move them back. But the more
often just wait for tomorrow.

Ok, thank you! I will see if it ends up correcting or if I will manually have
to do it.

There’s been “reports” here about this glitch happening with some Instant Checkout
orders.
AFAIU: Items need to be reserved in some way but the order doesn’t exist until
it’s paid, so the items go in a stockroom. But sometimes, the lots aren’t deleted.
I think it’s cleared at the next maintenance. Have yours survived maintenance?

It was done at Nov 22, 2024 00:10, I thought maintenance was later than that
but I could be wrong.

No midnight AFAIK, so it was already done when that happens. See tomorrow EST.

I have this same glitch happen every once in a while.
Parts are NOT set to retain, but will go to stockroom A with 0 qty and stay there
until I delete them sometimes days or weeks later.
It's not too bad to go to Stockroom A in the inventory screen and then sort
by lowest QTY first and that gives you all the lots to delete towards the top
of the screen.
If it was a huge order with this happening to 100s of lots, I'd probably
look at doing an XML upload to mass delete the affected lots.

Yep once in a while - that's the key.
Once every 6 months here maybe, not enough to make this a problem.

For deleting large qty of items, using the console and some code seems possibly
faster then brickstore as it can auto select every single checkbox instantly.
I purged about 1500 lots like that I’d less then 5 min the other day

An XML export to excel, delete all the rows (lots) you want left alone with all
the 0qty rows left over. Add a column with Header , enter "Y"
for every cell in that column.
Re-upload and all the unwanted 0-qty lots are gone.
Kind of a pain, but worth it on the super super rare occasions where like 50+
lots remain at 0qty in Stockroom with no retain selected.
I think I've only had that happen once, but I also don't have a ton of
high lot orders.
