Hi all, I am parting out sets. My first step is to upload them into my stockroom
and then I go through that and make sure I have the right number of pieces for
each color. I put the set number in the remarks. Of course, I end up with duplicates
of some pieces, I'd rather combine them all together in one spot rather than
have them in multiple locations. Is there a way to list the pieces that have
multiple locations in my inventory. Thanks!

In your store inventory check the box "Non-Unique"
I then enter the set numbers one by one of the sets that I've parted out
in the field "Parts from set" and then consolidate manually. In my remarks
field I also have the date, the set was parted out, number of sets and a few
other data. It can become a pretty cluttered field over time.
Some sellers will tell you, that there are better and more efficient tools but
if you're only parting out a few sets each month, this cumbersome consolidation
method gives you more control. You also have the option of not moving certain
lots from a stockroom to your store front and adding them to your own collection.

I recommend that you try the Brick Seller app. It has excellent Set Part Out
features allowing you to add to existing lot quantities and add new lots as needed
all at the same time. You can order the set inventory by your Remarks data or
for larger sets, you can order the set inventory by up to 6 weight ranges and
then your Remarks data allowing you to pick out the larger items first and so
on. For items not already in your inventory, it will recommend an inventory
location (Remarks) based on the most items you have in one inventory location
for that same item in several colors and will also give you a default price based
on your Price Guide parameters. A Batch will be created in Brick Seller where
you can record the number of sets parted out, the total cost, and all the inventory
transactions will be captured for you and associate with the batch.
Brick Seller also has many other Inventory
and Order Management features allowing you to maintain your Brick Link and Brick
Owl inventory and orders at the same time. Brick Seller will continuously sync
your BrickLink
and Brick Owl inventory with your incoming orders from both marketplaces.
I would also recommend watching the demonstration videos (available from the
Home page of Brick Seller) that explain the many features of Brick Seller.
I also have a YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@rixbrix) where I have
several videos where I give some tips and advice from operating BrickLink and
Brick Owl stores for over 17 years and show how I use Brick Seller to manage
my inventory and process orders. One of the videos shows the powerful Set Part
Out
features of Brick Seller.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or problems getting
started using Brick Seller.
Thanks,
Rick
