Hi All,

Is anyone else experiencing NO sales? I have not received ANY orders in 10 days!
My current inventory is 127,036 parts/12,176 lots. Most prices are based on the
average BL for sale price. BL average prices have fluctuated over the years,
and sometimes I find a price that is now too high that I adjust to be in line
with the current BL average. Feedback shows very happy customers.

My store has been open for 10 years. Started out with about 250,000 parts/19,000
lots listed, and averaged about 25-30 orders a week. I posted more items throughout
the years, but sales slowly went down as the inventory decreased. In 2021 I decided
to not add any more parts, and sales continued to go down as expected.

Saw a dramatic decrease in sales a few years ago --understandable with the
economy and smaller inventory-- with sales averaging about 7-10 per week,
and in 2024 about 5-7 per week. However, I haven't received any orders in
the last 10 days. I will go two, sometimes three days without an order, but never
10 days straight. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks for your input!
Lori

Sales are definitely slower over the past week as pointed out on this thread.
Maybe some of the responses will be helpful. https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1490578

There have been some sale slowdowns over the past few weeks by the sounds of
it in other threads. but there might be some ways to increase sales. for example
you have this

"You will pay the lowest price as quoted at usps.com"

which might slow sales (even if only slightly) as from what I understand in the
USA the prices from USPS are higher then if you open a free pirate ship account
which offers cheaper rates which might lead to more sales.

also you have this

"We are not responsible for orders lost or damaged in transit."

which isn't true and turns MANY buyers away. buyers have protection via paypal/credit
card so if a package is damaged or lost in shipping then the seller is fully
responsible even if they say otherwise so when you state this in your terms and
buyers know it to be false they will often times mark the store as a dislike
and move away from what could have been a sale.

Best of luck!

Could be interesting to read the reply I just made minutes ago?

I experienced higher sales since Covid began and prices went up too. But in the
last few months, sales has been low. I expected sales to increase significantly
since September but it didn't increase much for me even though I have a bigger
inventory... wait a minute I just received an order............................................................................................................................
Ok I am back. I just received an order of value $366.45 CAD! Sales are good again!
Never mind! Have a good day everybody! I wish high sales for you too!
