and saw that prices all
the way back to May 2019 were included in the average sold price? I see this
occurs on other sets too. Is this a glitch, feature, or something else? Just
was a bit confused when I saw this because it was my understanding these records
were purged after 6 months.

From what I remember orders that are in a status such as NSS or cancelled (maybe?)
or something like that are still in the price guide. Another example is

I think regular cancelled orders are purged, but NSS/NRSs are not. Which makes
sense - but the price guide should exclude them imho
+1 I think they should be removed also
They're not affected while there's an unresolved problem in an order,
like NSS/NRS but NPB too - because the order isn't purged.
I think it's fine, I guess technically while the Alert isn't Completed,
there's still a chance the problem is solved and the order can be back to
"normal", and I guess it does happen.
If those lots were'nt shown, then they would from time to time suddenly appear
when the order's been solved, and people would wonder "how come this
5 months lot appears while yesterday it wasn't here"?

Tho the drawback is the guide is called a “6-month” guide but if you have items
in it which aren’t from the last 6-months it kinda defeats the name.

Well then BL can just exclude anything older than six months, purged or not,
from the Price Guide.

I guess it's based on the Order date, or the Order change date which often
(?) changes when the status changes, and NOT the date when the lot have been
sold.
I guess this also as it would simplify: one order can have lots sold over a full
month for example, in the case of an opened order...
