congrats to the winners! dont forget to celebrate with pizza!
We're at the point that when I hear pizza, all that comes to mind for me
is homemade ice cream
Although for tonight, I've been requested to make what's referred to
in our home as "Dad's Spaghetti Sauce" Which is a homemade tomato
based multi-meat sauce for most any type of pasta, tonight it's egg noodles.
In fact, gotta leave here soon to round up the ingredients.

Oh that's fine! From time to time I also cook myself say a gallon of pasta
sauce with kilos of tomatoes and plenty of secret vegies and plants for a few
hours. We're all fond of it

If we lived closer, I be trying to sample yours The herbs I use, would doubtless
not equal those "secret veggies" of yours I do my magic with the meats
used, anyways.

Btw, I appreciate your effort to connect, I really do. Referring to your use
of what I'm sure is not an overly familiar term (gallon) there in Frenchiland
Believe it or not, I among other ignorant Americans, fully understand the metric
system Most of us Yankees simply have chosen not to fully adopt it's use
when last pushed upon us, in the 70's if I recall correctly

Oh I know what a gallon is; I even ordered this one (and the same in the delicious
Green Pepper Sauce)!

Oh we don't care in fact, it's just it's FAR easier for calculations.
But sure Freedom Units are fine for wood (with the famous 2x4s for instance)
and some say temperatures for human are easier with °F...
For the other measures I'm not sure any's easier.
A kilometer is hard to estimate, but a mile is too.
It'll take some time for you to convert to World Units , I guess the time
all merchandises come in this format, like a Kg of sugar, a liter of oil, etc.
Apparently mechanics and automobiles already use lots of 10mm Bolts and such
more universal dimensions.

you should move to Canada then! we use a mix of seemingly every system! we use
pounds for human weights, grams for small weights, km for distance on a map,
minutes for distance by car, etc

Celsius and Fahrenheit can be used to tell how old a persion is, and feet is
used for distances less than 500 ft. and greater than 1 ft.

It’s all about habits.
Though some people make the case that 0°F and 100°F are very useful reference
points. After all, we all handle live horse blood and solutions of amonium chloride
every day…
