I do not know if this will substantively contribute to whatever discussion is
happening with this potential catalog addition, but I have two of these such
masks awaiting item approval. It's a very expensive part and will in some
small way increase revenue on this site.
Sellers listing this item either have to create a custom item (a category of
item seldom used) or bury this in either the 4- or 6- hole listing with a explanatory
note.
Yes, it's a variant, and yes, catalog administrators have just gotten past
a major revision of the catalog dealing with multiple variants of items, but
case-by-case approvals of items such as this one might remove some of the chill
experienced between sellers and Bricklink HQ.
