Ok, I was not aware of this thread. But why was the note removed instead of updated
to explain the situation why some of them are nearly impossible to take apart?

I don't think individual catalog entries are an appropriate place to explain
certain quality issues that are normal for a wide range of older parts (caused
by normal aging or maybe bad storage conditions). Otherwise we would have to
flood the catalog with notes about yellowed parts, peeling and cracking stickers,
broken motors or brittle train rims and rubber belts.
