I need your help. I had an buyer placing an order (5 parts). In that order there
was 1 Item that was marked as heavy used (and priced accordingly). I asked the
seller if he also have seen the comments on the this Item (and I have made a
foto of this item and send it to the buyer, to see if this was acceptable). And
that I also have the same part in a better condition (but for a higher price).
Seller replied that he wanted to cancel the order, because I was nagging and
he did not want to have the Item. This is the short version, but the whole conversation
was not in a nice tone of voice. So I did what was asked, no problem from my
side.
So that was the end of the story (I thought), but suddenly today (4 months after
ordering) I have received a neutral feedback (which basically is the same as
a negative), with no comment at all, just the neutral feedback.
The person also has a store, so I think he is aware of this effect. So for being
nice to say something about the condition of an item in the order, offering a
better solution and canceling, I get a neutral?
Can I get this neutral feedback removed?
And no, I don't think the buyer wants to cooperate in this case to change
his feedback.
I honestly would not even worry about it. You tried to do the right thing, but
you cant please everyone. Neutral or Negative is going to happen to everyone
at some point. Your positive feedback established already is plenty for people
to have confidence in you as a seller. Take care-

It totally isn't. You have 1803. I wouldn't even LOOK at your feedback
before buying from you and if I did see you had a neutral, I know there are finicky
folks out there. If it is your first neutral, you've been pretty lucky,
I think.

I wouldn't have done it and you wouldn't have done it, but it isn't
totally crazy. He had a bad experience and remembered it months later. I don't
fault you how you handled it all, but he made an order in your store and didn't
like how it all turned out. He's being honest. Go look at my neutrals if
you want to. The first one it looks like I legit earned, but the guy never contacted
me and I was a very casual seller at the time and I didn't even notice FOR
YEARS that I had a neutral. The ones after that just weren't my error at
all, from my perspective anyway, but they didn't drag me down.
Can I get this neutral feedback removed?
I don't think you can. It doesn't break the rules.
To cancel a feedback, the content as to meet one of the criterias cited in the
removal rules. Since there's nothing, it won't be removed by the admins.

Which brings you back to that assumption "And no, I don't think the buyer
wants to cooperate in this case to change his feedback" But it is often times
more doable coming to an understanding than first imagined. We can be capricious.
But yeah, some will cling to obstinacy, like a comfortable blanket on a cold
evening. It gives a kind of false sense of security or comfort to those more
susceptible to that part of our nature.
I kept adding and deleting things making this a short post and a long post so
many times that I just put the post away for the day.
The main point that survived all the versions was that with the age of your account,
the total feedbacks and the feedback percentage, I wouldn't think twice about
buying from you with confidence. I know it's got to be annoying as hell
- especially since it's the most neutral way to post a neutral - and I know
I'll be in your shoes someday, but try not to worry about it.
If/When I see a glaring feedback I'll go look at that person's account
to see if they're reasonable or unreasonable and with a 95% feedback rating
like that, I'll just assume you unfortunately found a rotten apple and still
buy from you.
