Hello everyone!

I have this strange issue in my store, and I'm wondering if anyone else has
experienced this or would know what to do?

So the problem is that the visit counter has been going non-stop since around
the 12th of July. Before it started going crazy the store had a pretty natural
visit count growth, ~1500 visit counts (store started march this year). Now it's
shot up to ~20000 visit counts. I know this can't be 'real' visits,
because I haven't had any new orders since it started shooting up.

I honestly don't know if this is a big problem or not. What do you guys think?

In any case it's just kind of a bummer not to be able to see the real visit
count number.

Best Regards,
Bernhard

Every Time YOU enter your own store, it also makes the visit counter go up.

It has always been this way since day 1 of BrickLink. It's just the way
it is. I consider it a flaw, but it has never been fixed. I guess it's
an extremely low-priority thing or due to coding, cannot be changed without breaking
something else.

Hi!

Yes, I'm aware of this. But I know that I haven't entered my own store
~18500 times in the last two weeks. I just think this is strange how it just
keeps going. Like when I check the store after sleeping suddenly it's increased
by 500-1000 visits.

Visit counts are meaningless. Someone can enter your store and hold down F5 or
equivalent to refresh and give you 1000s of visits within minutes.

Hey Bernhard,

Just to let you know, i had that happen to me a couple of weeks ago.

For some reason i was on My Bricklink page where the visitor count is and i refreshed
the page. I saw the my visitor count when i did this. Maybe 2 minutes later
i went back to the page and the visitor count had jumped by maybe 200 visits.
It just caught my eye as it had changed so much.

I knew there was no way that many people had visited the store in that time.
I watched it over the next, maybe 30 minutes, and it went up a couple of thousand
visits.

Then it just stopped and hasn't happened again.

I don't think that there is any reason to be concerned.

All the best.

Hi,

This was good to hear, fingers crossed it'll stop for me soon too then! Thanks
for letting me know your experience with this.

Have a lovely day!
