I've had this twice now; if the buyer changes the order status (I'm assuming
to 'Paid' ) then I have limited options for changing the status at my
end; the most I can do is mark it as "Packed", and cannot select "Shipped"
or "Completed" even if these are in the list (which they sometimes are
but not all the time!). If I do try to choose "shipped" when the option
is present I get a "Invalid Order Status" warning and it's still
on "Packed".
I'm not looking forward to having a stack of orders the system recognises
as unsent when I have completed the order. Has anyone else encountered this?

messages on a separate matter from over a year ago.
did any of those orders involve sales tax and were paid offsite?

Thanks for responding. That's a no to both; they were paid onsite (or sop
the order page says) and they were domestic orders which attract no sales tax.

you could 100% confirm by clicking the issue refund button to see if it can find
the connected payment
and they were domestic orders which attract no sales tax.
I've had many identical order types where I have been able to mark them as
"shipped".
if the payment isn't onsite it might be that was the cause for some complicated
spaghetti code perhaps. confirming if it is or isn't onsite might be able
to help narrow down the issue and if they aren't on site then it might be
best to remove non-onsite Paypal

2) Use Order Edit page. Fix both Payment status and Order Status. Then you'll
