Hi, I have posted an order in the UK via Royal Mail 2nd Class and the buyer has
said it has not arrived and it has been nearly a month. I have the proof of
postage receipt and the Royal Mail tracking website says it has been delivered
to the correct address. Am I responsible to give the buyer a refund for him
not receiving the goods and then claim from the Royal Mail via their insurance
policy, or does he need to claim it back himself from Royal Mail? Thanks in
Advance!

The responsibility for dealing with Royal Mail will remain with you, so I suspect
you'll need to refund and get in touch with them.

It's easier getting blood from a stone than getting royal mail to pay out,
they have so many hoops and then say you're not eligible.. even when you
have proof of postage and insurance. They have screwed me over a few times already..

Since trackings says it’s been delivered you should technically not need to refund
however if you feel like the buyer is telling the truth and you want to help
your customer out you could still refund but if it’s been delivered and then
stolen or such it would be the responsibility of the buyers house insurance as
your responsibility is only until it’s marked as delivered

The Royal Mail won't refund you if they have proof of delivering it.
