Yes, there should definitely be a note for both parts letting people know that
they're not compatible. That seems really odd that TLC would make those
parts "out of system" with each other.

The conclusion that I came away with was that although the swords

have different clutch strengths in that specific scabbard (21459 always having
greater clutch), the issue is only troublesome sometimes.
And I think the reason is that the tolerances of the parts sometimes line up
favorably and other times they don't. In other words, it depends on the width
of the gap in a given scabbard and the thickness of a given sword.
Basically...
Thinner 30173b and smaller gap in scabbard = Good clutch
Thinner 30173b and larger gap in scabbard = Minimal clutch to where the sword
almost falls out
Thicker 30173b and smaller gap in scabbard = Good clutch
Thicker 30173b and larger gap in scabbard = Good clutch
Thinner 21459 and smaller gap in scabbard = Increased clutch compared to 30173b,
but passable
Thinner 21459 and larger gap in scabbard = Increased clutch compared to 30173b,
but good
Thicker 21459 and smaller gap in scabbard = Super clutch where it is very hard
to get the sword in and out
Thicker 21459 and larger gap in scabbard = Increased clutch compared to 30173b,
but passable
So, an unwanted situation really comes up at the extremes in both directions,
and I do think a note is warranted about both of those extreme cases (sword 30173b
almost falls out sometimes and sword 21459 is *very* hard to get in and out sometimes).

Thankyou for the additional testing! Very interesting indeed!
