Is there any reason that the instruction for this set are so bad. There is really
no way to discern the parts that are in the instructions. the images are terrible
and they don't say how many of each, or even what they are. I have been able
to piece together some of the set, but! Are there different instructions available?

If you think this set’s manual is bad, you’d have a blast with 7781. This is
just the way they looked back in 2006, and even for a few years after that. I’m
sure there are video tutorials out there for these sets.

That file looks like it was scanned about 10 years prior to the set being released.
LEGO should really be ashamed of publishing such a low-quality version. The
images on brickfactory are much, much better.
