| To be able to share short video clips here in the forum, not just pic files?
Even though we’ve had 4 suggestions over the years implemented, I just don’t
how doable this would be, the technical limitations or cost to the site.
But just imagine how much it would expand the ability to help others with various
issues, to showcase a LEGO project, the running of a store, or how to assemble
something, etc. Imagine too, the entertainment value brought to the site. In
other words, pragmatic and fun.
For example, on the fun side of the equation; I would’ve really like to have
shared a short video clip I took this morning during my workout down at the shore,
showing a pod of whales spouting, just to the left of the pic. But if video was
enabled somehow
Just a thought...

I'm going to say no. I am not a video person and dislike them loading everywhere
without me hitting play. And then not being able to turn them off. And then the
sound which may or may not be glaring. And the extra loading time, and then my
old computer crying over some file format, and....
You can post a link to youtube or another hosting site and still share and get
comments!

| gifs do work if you want to try that. if it truly is a short video try an online
convertor to turn it into a gif then post that

Although I think there should be a time limit. Say 10 or 15 seconds? Just so
the admins don't have to sit thru a ten min video.
Maybe no audio too. Just text at the bottom like subtitles.

the resubmit form check thing isn't set properly so if you go back and the
page refreshes it resubmits the post most likely

| I do enjoy the benefits of video..
But on the forum on site it would not add much.
Anything it does add , balances out with a new tool for spammers moet likely..

Of course there's always diverting the traffic from BL to Google's YouTube.
But yeah, I get it, easier.

I believe the old SOP is morphing, or in the throws of changing and that TLG
is coming into a more full understanding and appreciation of the investment gem
BL actually was for them. Finally seeing the potential, which I don't believe
was the case when they initially acquired it from Kim. Some very capable people
at it's helm today.
Stay bullish on BL's future. Hang tough and invest.
