Hello!

I just got an order as a store from the EU to California. On the order California
Sales Tax has been charged to the customer and this has been deducted as a partner
commission in the Paypal transaction.

All good so far, but I'm creating a customs invoice, where I have to indicate
that the California Sales Tax was already collected by Bricklink. Should I include
an EORI number or LEGO Bricklink, Inc tax number on the invoice as well?

No documents are supplied by Bricklink in the order or by email.
I just want to avoid the customer being charged again.

Thanks for the help!

100% correct.

You don't need to add anything special.
There's no import taxes in US, Sales Taxes aren't Import, it's not
managed by Customs AFAIK.

Depending the order value, simple CN22 or CN23 is fine.

Cool, thanks! I included the statement on the invoice that is has been collected
by BL, but if customs doesn't care, then that's good news.

No, it's not import.

Declaration+invoice outside (depending the value also, for low amounts I don't).

They don't care - just make sure the harmonization number is substantially
correct and you'll be fine.

Sylvain nailed it.

For those unfamiliar with distance or cross border selling to US based members,
consider one term: Federalism.

Sales or Use tax are the purview of individual state governments, and have nothing
to do with import duties or tariffs, which is the wheelhouse of the our Federal
government and doesn't apply here. The occasional push to adapt a federal
sales tax over the years, has so far been rebuffed by our fundamental "No
Taxation without Representation" founding ideas.
