| Hi all, I am trying to submit an item removal request but I get the "Order
does not have valid order status for order item removal." error. The order
status is paid and payment status is complete.
What do I need to change so that I can submit the item removal request?

You can't remove an item from a paid order.

You can't remove an item from a paid order.

They aren't paid orders. Pre invoice

What's the "order status" set at now? Do you have order payment status
separated from order status within your Orders Received page?

Tell the buyer you have made an error and that you will refund the missing item.
Then let them decide whether they want to go ahead with the incomplete order.

Exactly and well put, yorbrick.
But this advise (for any seller with the minimal experience) goes without saying
and therefore is inert as to addressing the OP's concern.
