Hello,
Regarding 50950pb068 (Slope, Curved 3 x 1 with Black and Gray Grille Pattern
(Sticker) - Set 5973), the set inventory indicates that the counterpart has 2x
of this part. However, I have 1x of these from a bulk lot, and the sticker looks
slightly different.
The sticker in the catalog entry has a white line that looks like a capital "L"
at the base of the slope, connecting to the long white line on the right side
of the sticker. However, my stickered part shows the white line connects to the
long white line on the left side of the sticker. Even if the sticker were flipped
around, the white line at the top of the sticker is only a partial line, so does
not match the catalog image.
Does anyone have both of these stickers from an original set to confirm? It appears
that there are actually 1x each of right and left versions of this sticker, rather
than 2x of the same stickered part.
However, the instructions do not show enough detail to determine which of the
two parts is right and which is left. But in order to be precise, I believe that
these should either be split into "R" and "L" versions, or else
a note added to indicate that the difference exists that indicates that the two
are actually mirror images.
I do have an image that demonstrates this difference, but am not able to upload
it as an attachment despite it being within the file size limit and in the correct
format.
bricklink has been having some issues with that since the November incident.
you should be able to upload the image if you make it smaller then normal. say
400x400 or so and that should make the image and file size small enough to work.
(also make sure its a jpg and not a webp or anything fancy)

Resize to a max width of 640 pixels (don’t care about height). This way, the
forum won’t try and fail to resize it.

There is nothing wrong with the image upload system that I am aware of. Exactly
where and what file are you attempting to upload? Screenshots are always helpful.

I see 2 identical stickers (thanks ebay) and they do appear as R and L in the
instructions.
Thanks all for the replies so far. I just resized my image slightly and it now
works. I didn't realize that the limit is 640 for the width, but that appears
to have been the issue.
See my image attached here, which distinguishes how the white line is different
on each.

As the pics Jennnifer posted show, the two stickers are identical. But one is
put one way and the other the other way (turned 180°), so the “shadow” is always
“down.”
So I think there should be a Left & Right.
That being said, on your pic, from the shadow you are comparing the wrong ends
(one sticker is put 180° relatively to the other).
But the broken line doesn’t match the pic of the sheet or a 180° turn either
🤔

You mean you should apply the right one on the left?

Long story, short... if you can take a better image (just needs to be in focus
and on a white background), then I can help you fix this in the Catalog. Just
let me know!
Hi Jen,
The two on the sticker sheet screenshot match the one in the catalog, so I can't
argue with that! However, I've got this stickered one right in front of me
that's a mirror image, so I know it exists. The part that it is on is genuine
Lego, and I have nothing to indicate that the sticker is not genuine too.
Is it possible that the sticker sheet had an alternate, mirror image available
for some production runs? I don't know how else to explain this.

Aren't we just talking about the same sticker placed on the same part but
reversed? It's fairly common.

Hi all,
I just had user "mfav" contact me privately, and this user correctly
identified that the sticker belongs on part 61678pb006. The sticker was put on
the wrong part, so I will need to switch it.
Thank you to mfav, and this thread is resolved. Have a happy holidays, everyone!

Not quite.
The current 50950pb068 entry still needs to be split into a right and left because
the shadow should always face 'down' when the part is in place on the
model. So, the image in the catalog correctly shows the stickered piece for the
model's left-hand side. What is missing is the stickered piece for the model's
right-hand side.
I am going to leave the request open until we can get it fixed.
