I'm not sure if this is a big deal or not. While trying to purchase standard
first class postage this week, it's been printing out ground advantage labels.
Allegedly they both take the same amount of time to deliver.

Not sure if any other US based stores are experiencing this and/or if it's
been an issue.

Yes, BUT I've been experiencing the same thing. On ebay as well.

Sometimes its says first class

Sometimes its says ground advantage

And about 1/3 of the time, it gives me options for both.

it also still occasionally gives me the option for parcel select with ground
advantage as well.

I've not noticed any pattern as to why, and again its multiple platforms
which makes me think the info is coming from USPS itself

Ground advantage labels come with $100 of free insurance.

Ground Advantage replaced First Class Parcels (as well as Parcel Select).

My first Ground Advantage labels came in on July 10.

With ShipStation “First Class Package” remains in the list of offered USPS services
while defaulting to the new “Ground Advantage” once purchased. We’ve processed
some 100+ labels using ShipStation in this manner since the switchover, without
issue so far. Nothing to be concerned about.

On average the travel time seems slightly longer, but not egregiously so to the
average consumer.

The nice thing is all Ground Advantage packages now have $100 of insurance. This
used to only be for Priority Mail. I've also found GA to be much cheaper
even compared to a lot of UPS packages for many orders.

Thanks Popsicle! I've been doing mostly priority flat rate through the
fall and I wasn't really reading the method on the labels until this one.

First Class mail is still in use but only for letters but not packages (ground
advantage).
