| I updated my want lists (each named by the set missing parts) after making a
purchase. Unfortunately this creates a problem. When my order arrives I'm
not going to have a way to sort the parts according to each parts want list.
Is there any way to go back and see what I originally had in each list before
I updated them? If not, it will force me to have to go through every set to verify
all the parts which will take a half century to do.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Sorry, there’s no way to ‘undo’ changes on a Wanted List. If you changed the
Want quantities and/or deleted lots, the info is lost
There’s also no link between orders and WL.
Next time, you have multiple solutions:
— don’t delete lots, use the Have field,
— don’t delete lots, move them to a new “ordered” list,
— download your WLs and orders and use BrickStore or another tool (spreadsheet…)
to manage them.

I have about 30 wanted lists also named by the set list missing parts. They
way I keep track of what parts go where is by also keeping the set number in
the comments section of the parts I want. When an order comes in, I look at
my whole combined wanted list. I can scroll through that list, match the parts
to the set they go with, and delete parts from my wanted list. When I'm
done with that process then I go look at my list of individual set wants. I
can tell when a set has all of its parts because there will be zero items left
in those set wants. This system also helps me keep track of what parts are higher
priority for me to pursue.

Forgot to add one more thing! As I'm going through my big combined list
with ordered parts, I start a collection pile with the set numbers I'm expecting
to see in my ordered parts. Most often this is a plastic bag with a scrap of
paper with the set number. So when I'm done I have a few (or many) collections
with the set number so I can easily add those parts to the sets that need them.
