Can’t say I’ve had much of a difference from it per say but then again I’m super
inconsistent with posting and am sure if I was consistent and posted quality
content it would help

I almost had a stroke trying to read that. Bricklink accounts are only for those
18 and older.

I see nothing wrong with it. Many people use social media to advertise their
business. Not everyone writes perfect English.

you can always make fun Lego themed videos & post them to youtube with a link
to your store

it's kind of like a digital business card video

I give out business cards, but they're just a little design I drew printed
on card-stock.

From what I've observed, is that if you aren't a prolific poster, an
entertaining personality, or have some over the top amazing content, it doesn't
help much.

I would say youtube is the best way to go, with a TON of content.

I've looked into this quite a bit, I sell things other than lego and I determined
I just didn't have the time or desire to become an internet personality,
which is basically a requirement for that sort of thing unless you make amazing
customs or some other thing related that people would follow you for anyway.

+1 without a massive time investment it usually isn’t worth it for YouTube. I’m
still getting “use” to the platform so in the future I can hopefully make better
content but with “minimal” effort it dosnt make a big difference

Yep. I was actually prepping to go the YT route. I had an ad enabled channel
and was already making money from it.... I was going to convert from the content
I already had to lego videos, basically copying another creators ideas more or
less..and had worked out how many clicks I needed to survive on ad revenue to
quit my job....

aaaaand about 3 months before I launched the whole "no ads on "kids"
videos" scandal happened and I'm happy I was able to dodge that bullet.
People lost their incomes overnight

All the "kids" content youtubers ended up having to use their presence
to redirect to other sites or incomes. I believe many just folded up shop completely.

I guess, my point is I don't trust it anymore in business sense. Just like
I don't stick to any one platform.

Yah YouTube has been all over the place since the ad-pocolipse. I agree having
only 1 source of income when you work online is very dangerous so it’s often
(not always) best to focus less on any 1 and more on multiple
