This is exactly why I don't bother with the catalog much anymore. People
start listing things the moment there is a rumor and then they sit. There have
been plenty of times where I have the actual item in hand (sometimes even early)
and would be willing to add it with weight and photos, but I won't engage
in these games.

Firstly, we will never approve any minifigures before their official release
date, which in this case was September 1. So having been pending since July 1
is irrelevant.
Secondly, we will never approve any items without images. These pending items
have no images pending, and none were submitted by the user who originally submitted
the entries.
Maybe you would like to submit images to speed up the process?

I have been here since 2009 and that has never been the case. It usually is the
same person, but it never has to be.

I don't quite understand you. Are you annoyed that someone was able to add
a listing before they were available? Or that someone listed them without being
able to add their own image?
There's nothing what-so-ever to keep you from ignoring all of this and simply
uploading your own listing and image as soon as you have them. No games, no nothing.

| It's a catalog credits game. Find a rumor/leak or whatever just to be the
first to add it to the catalog, then let it sit.
There's really no reason to add it at that point, such as these figures added
back in July.

Ah, I see it more as extreme enthusiasm. 
Again, there is no reason it should affect your being able to get items listed
as soon as you have them.

i kinda of agree but slightly different. as when I'm inventorying a set and
i need a part for it for example when i inventoried this set it made
the process easier that this part which is exclusive to the
set was already in the catalogue so i just have to link it. also when some figure
entires are already made and similar it can save time but i do agree that one
should always be able to provide a photo (either their own or from lego as per
rules) for any part they add

The strongest thing we have considered up to this point is possibly instituting
a policy that any new minifigures or new parts will be summarily discarded if
they are submitted more than a month before official release date. It is quite
amazing sometimes how far in advance some things are submitted to the catalog,
and it just clogs up the (already excessive) queue.

Maybe if an admin sees it is missing the image the title can be updated with
(Waiting photo) so other people who check to submit it and find the entry know
about it, as searching for the image is another few steps

I suggested once that the pic upload goes on the item submission page with the
weight and name and number and you just can't even submit a new item without
a picture. If you are unable to submit even a render for an item, how much are
you really contributing by telling the catalog that it exists?

The only credit that we cannot change is the credit that goes to the user who
actually submits an item to the catalog. So, we would have to completely remove
the entry from the database (hence the "summarily discarded" part above)
for anyone else to get credit for an item's addition.

I don't see an image for Sabine.
You can (and should) always check your pending items from the Add or Change page.
The My Additions section is right there at the bottom of the page.

As described on the image upload page, images copied from other websites won't
be approved.
I'll take care of the other pending SW minifigures once l'm back home

| I added an image for Sabine based on the instructions (pg. 54). Hopefully, my
memory is correct for how minifigs are oriented when they have helmet/hair variations.
I think all the figures are now pending with images.
