Hi, newer seller here. I’ve just gotten my first request from a buyer to cancel
their order. When I refund them am I going to be out the cost of the PayPal
fees? If so, is it reasonable to ask the buyer to cover this or do I just let
it go? The PayPal fees on this transaction are less than $1 so it’s not a big
deal on my end but this will probably come up again so I want to make sure I’m
following proper Bricklink/PayPal etiquette.

Yes, you will be out the fees.

Yes, the fees are incurred as part of the payment capture. If we had split authorize
then capture, you could avoid most of the fees.
