I bought a hat of sw0747(Imperial Inquisitor Fifth Brother - Dark Bluish Gray
Uniform). The logo on the back is very dim, infact all the number print is dim,
barely see.

I bought a fake one? Or as long as it has a lego logo, no matter dim or clear,
is a authentic one?

Can someone identify it? Thx a lot!

Probably real. Some rumours about fake parts with the lego logo but those are
only for select parts and are still unconfirmed rumours so in general any part
that has the lego logo is genuine (not all genuine parts have the logo tho)

Yeah, that rumour in particular seems to be pretty bold - it makes very little
sense for a company to spend huge money on a mold with a fake Lego logo on it,
only to custom print or sell blanks for dirt cheap when you can order genuine
blanks off of PAB and make a profit

There's a video that has gone around talking about it, but it's largely
fueled by fearmongering from what I've seen

Thanks a lot! I heared that rumour often ,but your explain makes sense !

I have a Deadpool with full Lego logos that I am willing to bet is fake. It
seems extremely fake/cheap compared to my Storm figure that also would have come
in the same set. The comments made to distinguish a fake figure by that video
also correspond to my Deadpool.

I still believe that 99.99% of all Lego with logos are real.

Is it the head or the whole thing? I remember there being 1000s of Deadpool heads
(but not torsos or legs) sold here that were believed to be custom printed from
a Chinese seller, with many of the sales in 10s or 100s so presumably to other
sellers that will then have re-distributed them from their country.

Deadpool didn't come in a set with Storm.

Good catch. My Magneto figure seems normal.

Still, the whole figure feels fake in terms of plastic (thin / semi-translucent).
Plus it has slight mold differences in the head and torso (like mentioned in
the video).

sounds like it just might be one of those parts made in the china factories.
I've gotten many parts from there and they all feel like they aren't
real lego but they still are

From the Deadpool's that I've had, a higher percentage than normal have
had cracked torsos. Whether this is because of increased play or decreased quality,
I can't say.

Possibly because the Chinese factory had to use locally sourced ABS, which was
not as optimised for LEGO as the ABS LEGO uses in their other factories.

It looks genuine to me. Crisp clear mold, no lines or marks indicating substandard
copying of original part.

I'm quite certain it's genuine.

Cheers ...

The headware (hat) looks real... even has the square internal feature for increased
clutch with the minifigure head stud. Most fakes seem to miss this.

Post a picture of the torso print so we can assess it as well.
