| 20% off, 50% off, 75% off, everything off!!!!! Holy cow it's summer time
in the US!!! Maybe if I advertise on the forum, which is monitored by other sellers,
not buyers, everything will be cured.

the forum is mostly (not entirely) used by about 30-50 people and many are sellers
and not too many buyers so sale announcements in the forum generally don't
help point many if any buyers to stores

if you do scroll far enough down on the main page you do at least still see some
sales but not many likely see it either

Some sales get posted on the front page which is presumably why some people find
the need to post sales every day. If it is a fake sale, adding their name to
the ignore threads setting and least favouriting the store helps.
It doesn't help that the default for sending store sales announcements to
store followers is to also post to the forum. I imagine a lot of sellers post
here without actually visiting.

The up front cost of posting in the forum is low. Even a few sales make it worthwhile.
Sucks to be a regular forum user.  But you can hide sale posts:

I find it preferable to view the sales section as some sellers are honest about
running genuine sales but then ignore all threads started by the spammers. You
have to do each one manually but it really helps cut down on the fake sales threads.
