Several days back I parted out a few copies of 4748-1. In both cases the hologram,
which is normally affixed to the inside of the box lid, was floating around inside
the box. Along one edge it has a 7-digit element number ( 4242758 ). Is this
an appropriate item to add to the catalog ?

Thanks, Nita Rae

It is part of the original set packaging, so I would say no.

Cheers,
Randy

If it was found to be common for this to be floating around inside the box, it
might warrant a note on the box entry. If it is not common, it's not really
worth the bother. Due to the age of the set, being from 2004, it's unlikely
that we'll ever know for sure if this was a common issue or not. Therefore
I'd agree with not adding it to the catalog.

Cheers ...

So, on the one hand we have a prior precedent, and the other we have one no vote
and one doubtful. For the record, I have seen a number of these (from the Alpha
Team series that used them) having come detached from the boxes. They were glued
to the inside surface and nothing held them securely beyond the glue. Time, humidity,
and bumping into the boxes has detached (possibly half) of the remaining sets
from that series.

Other sellers, who still have these, please chime in with the situation of your
inventory.

Thanks to axaday for pointing out that it is a lenticular and not a hologram.

Precedent is good enough for me. You can submit it to the catalog if you would
like to, Nita Rae.

Cheers,
Randy

I think they are fun, and might add them to a future order
