Ah, now I see the problem, I overlooked that there are two variants of the set.
Then it belongs to the set 5855, there the brown horse is specified as 6171 (Undetermined
Type). However, catalog entry is marked for deletion. Then Belville horse 6171pb08
still exists in brown right?

Yes. And now that I am reminded that Msquirrel made a brown 08 pic, I'm
pretty certain that this OP is correct, except had the wrong set.
