I’ve been going through unused parts that I’ve had boxed up for a while, and
I’m really stumped on figuring out what color these 1x1 plates are. In person,
they look light mint green, much like the “Light Green” I found on BL. It appears
that color plate did not come in any sets, and I can’t recall purchasing these.
I lived in Scotland for several years, and shopped at a few LEGO stores abroad,
so I may have picked them up there. I can’t seem to take a photo that captures
exactly what the color looks like in person (it truly looks light mint IRL),
but this is as close as I got.

Yellowish Green maybe?
It does look a little like that in the photo, but it doesn’t have that yellow
hue when you see it in person. I’ve compared it to all my other green parts,
and it’s not a match to anything

Could you post a photo of these plates next to your 49668 Yellowish Green plates?

To complet what the others said: add other colours in your picture. Greens would
be good for comparison but add other colours as well so that your camera/phone
can better adjust (if everything is green, it may tend to “remove” green).

That would explain a lot! I’ve been taking pics of green tiles for the past ten
minutes, and none of the greens look accurate in the photos!

Have a look at this
Top left plate is Light Green.
1x1 round plate is Yellowish Green.
The plate below the round plate is Medium Green.
The 1x2 modified plate is Light Lime.
The clip is Medium Lime.

This is really helpful! Not sure how you got such a great, accurate photo of
those shades, but you’re my photography hero! Thank you!

Thank you all for suggesting I take comparison photos without making me feel
like a total idiot for not doing that in the first place.
Ok, I took several photos of green tiles next to each other (before reading the
excellent advice about not using all green in the pics), and all the colors looked
off. BUT, I accidentally stumbled upon a part that appears to match my mystery
tiles. I may have dismissed some suggested colors prematurely bc now that I’m
seeing it on a much larger part, I think there’s more yellow than I had thought.
If I could only read the part number on this thing I could put this to rest.

i'm going to ask the stupid question..
-- are they official Lego stamped 1x1 plates?
obviously they should have the Lego logo on the top of the button & stamped inside
with the logo & ID #.
hard to see in the pic. .but can't make out the Lego logo on the top of the
button.
Hi! Not a stupid question at all! I can’t get very good photos of detail (likely
bc I have a big crack on my lens protector), but they do have the LEGO logo as
well as something on the inside, but I can’t read it. On that note, am I the
only one who has to hold some of these parts at a hundred different angles in
multiple lighting conditions while squinting and holding my breath so my hand
doesn’t move in order to read the item #? I usually take pics so I can zoom in,
but there has to be a better way.

Well, it greatly depends on the ages of those you’re asking

I was really hoping nobody would go there! But I definitely thought to myself
that I wished I’d had a young person around to read it for me
