Hello,

I use 3x5 Plastic Bags in order to organize my inventory and sometimes to ship
items in when they go in bubble mailers. In the last year the ones I bought off
amazon, was $12 for 1000, is now around $20 for 1000. I was wondering if you
guys had any cheaper recommendations on where to get them. The old ones were
2 mil resealable ones that worked fine, but $20 for 1000 little bags seems pretty
steep.

Thanks for any help you can provide, Noah

Sorry, no help here. All I have seen is the price going up and the '2 mil'
getting thinner and thinner.

Well Noah, that's 2-cents apiece. Assuming the 2mil bags you've been
buying are of decent quality, I'd call that's a bargain. But that's
just me...

Here's our latest 3x5 2-mil bag acquisition:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/184162713382?var=691962682075

Free Shipping and good quality from an USA source. Quick turnaround.

Yeah, I agree 2 cents a piece isn't horrible, I just hate spending that much
when a year ago it was more than 25% less, but I guess everything has been going
up in price recently. Just seeing if anyone found a cheaper option.

Thanks, Noah

That, plus I've still got my father's words rattle around in my head
when he was imparting his flavor of business-wisdom to me, while working for
him during my young and formidable years: let the 'other guy' make money
if you want to continue doing business with them
Your father seems like a very wise man. thanks for the help

Thanks, Noah

100%. That is wonderful advice.

Prices are very very unlikely to go down, so hedge your bets a little and buy
a 2-4 year supply if you have the space to store them.

Cory,

Thanks for sharing. I have been out of 3x5 for a while and was reusing the smallest
LEGO in-set cellophane bags, which I would heat seal. I was also running low
on 2x3, my preferred Minifigure and small parts size. Just ordered BOTH from
the vendor you recommended. You should get a commission!

I had ordered my 2x3 bags from the same vendor on ebay for several years, but
the price jumped from $12 per 1000 (when last ordered in 2022) to $19 now! Your
vendor beat that by $4. SOLD!

I don't know anything about sourcing from Amazon; I only buy from Amazon
about once every two years as a last resort. Those delivery van drivers are
DANGEROUS and I don't want those da** things on my street or even in my town.

US Plastics is my favorite source for bags. I like the quality and I like their
sliding scale prices as you buy more. I generally buy 20 to 30 cases of zip
bags of various sizes once a year or even less often.

https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=42313&catid=883

I also source supplies from a company that is local to me (so I never pay freight
charges) but they also do fulfillment out of Chicago -- Braden Packaging
Supply. I am also happy with the quality of the zip bags I have bought from
them:

Their website only shows prices after being logged in as a customer. The current
price for one box of 3x5 zip bags is $11.82. The image shows more prices for
zip bags.
https://bradensupply.shoppkg.com/Shop/C860.aspx

For packing and shipping supplies, I encourage everyone to try and find local
suppliers to save on delivery charges. Plastic bags can be very heavy and the
cost of freight can easily make them much more expensive.
