| I'm UK only but open to overseas contact. Order request from Hungarry £25.00
order.. shipping £11.25 +BL VAT £10.00 if I was a buyer I would throw a total
wobbly shipping is bad but VAT IS MAD. total order like £46.00... is VAT killing
it? ... shocking!

AFAIK, VAT in UK is 20%.

I'm not sure anyone here in France voted for our 20% VAT.
Or it must be a long time ago.
Anyway, if I find one of them, I'll have him taste our guillotine (which
every French have in his garage or garden, of course).

You, as being part of your people, having benefits to live in your society and
in exchange participating in the collective and democratic decisions.
But again, if the initial problem is that having 20% tax on everything (shipping
included) BrickLink can't do anything about this

And Hungary's VAT is 27% ... in any case if the buyer had ordered in the
EU there's no guarantee the price would have been lower.

It is, yes. It might not be transparent when an EU buyer orders from an EU seller
because the price already includes VAT.
I'm assuming VAT is charged on shipping costs to avoid the scenario where
someone sells items for cheap but has ridiculous shipping fees.
