| I took a break from selling on bricklink and now that I am back, I see they have
moved to using ShipStation from their previous way. This has proven very frustrating
as the tracking number is not part of the purchase. The options are also more
limiting.
Is there another shipping service that is super easy, free, offers the discount
from retail and provides tracking?

I would recommend Pirateship
|
Especially now that one can import from PayPal, seems little reason to use ShipStation
any more.

| The only thing it seems I can't do is put the BrickLink order ID in the "rubber
stamp" area when importing from PayPal.

There actually is a tracking number included with every postage purchase on ShipStation.
It'll appear on the screen after you purchase postage below the Print Shipping
Label option, usually as a link that can be copy-pasted onto Bricklink. I was
frustrated with ShipStation at first too, but it's grown on me and I actually
think it's better than Pitney Bowes was. The only exception being the address
auto-correction, which can be extremely annoying and unhelpful.

It can definitely be helpful for verification and adding the last 4 digits of
a zip code! But I find it so weird that 75% of the time it changes Unit to Apt,
but also changes Apt to Unit 75% of the time. One time it changed the house number
for no apparent reason. And occasionally, it just completely deletes important
information in non-traditional addresses (like building numbers in addition to
apt numbers), to the point where the package would've been Returned to Sender
if I hadn't caught it. And until last August/September, when it presented
the option to use the corrected address or the original one, choosing the original
address wouldn't work. It would change it to the corrected one regardless
of your choice, and you'd have to manually edit it to change it back.

| Does the PayPal version of ShipStation now allow you to enter Bricklink's
IOSS number for VAT collected? I went over to Pirateship because this feature
was only available in the subscription version of ShipStation.

It's there. After you purchase the label you'll go to the confirmation
page with a prink link on the upper right and the tracking number a few lines
down the left column. on my screen I sometimes have to scroll down a half inch
to see it.
