I was wondering if there is a link to help guide new sellers through the process
of receiving and filling orders? I think seeing what an order looks like from
a seller’s perspective would calm my nerves a bit and give me an idea of how
to optimize my setup. For example, when an order is placed, do sellers see a
catalog item number in addition to the lot number? If someone wouldn’t mind sharing
a link, screenshot, or words of wisdom, I’d be so grateful. There’s a chance
I’m overthinking it, and that would be pretty on-brand for me, but I’d appreciate
anything that alleviates some of those “first day of school” jitters.

Well, I'd post a screenshot of the order details page for an order I received,
but all of my orders received have been purged, so I can't do that!

Anyway, here's a screenshot of the order details page for an order I placed.
It looks similar from the buyer's and seller's side; the buyer's
and seller's name, username, and address are visible, as well as the date
and time the order was placed, the order total, tax, shipping, etc. and, of course,
the items in the order.

If you've ever sold anything online before on a different website, chances
are there was a page similar to the order details page on BrickLink.

In addition, there are settings that allow you to customize the orders received
and order details pages, so that you can see as much or as little information
as you would like:

https://www.bricklink.com/orderSettings.asp
https://www.bricklink.com/orderSettingsCols.asp?v=r

You may also find it helpful to read through the BrickLink help pages:
https://www.bricklink.com/helpMain.asp

In particular, there is a page titled "How do I sell?" that contains
a lot of useful information about the selling process, as well as links to pages
that discuss particular aspects of selling in greater depth:
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=177

Hope that helps.

Oh, wow! Thank you so much for that info! I really appreciate you taking the
time to share that. I’ve only sold on eBay, and that was a million years ago,
but I’ve accidentally (on purpose) placed many orders on BrickLink. I don’t know
why I have trouble finding links like the ones you sent - maybe it has something
to do with the fact that I’m usually using my phone when I’m on BL? Regardless,
thank you for your help. I’ve seen some people get hammered on this forum when
they’ve asked questions, so it means a lot to have people like you in this community.
I appreciate you!

BrickLink can be difficult to navigate, and it's not optimized for mobile
devices, so using it on a phone is even more difficult. Glad I could help!
