Hi all,
I am relatively new to this site but have been busy buying parts, usually successfully.

Just wondering what I do when things don’t go so well?
I have a seller who
A. Forgot to chance the status to shipped, soI tried contacting them as to why.
Third attempt got a sorry but it was posted A week ago.
B. The above took 3 attempt before even answering a email, and
C. It has now been over 8 weeks and I still don’t have the item.

Many emails, later, nothing.

What do I do to request a refund, as I want to reorder with someone more reliable
as it is literally now holding up the completion of a major build!,

Anyone help?

Ask the seller explicitly for a refund.

If they refuse, then start an order not received complaint at paypal.

Make sure you communicate using the Bricklink system.

Always be kind and courteous when communicating.

Read all the Terms of the store just to make sure you have not missed anything.
Check the Splash page if that store has one.

Depending on where you live and where your seller is located, shipping could
take longer than expected especially for a large parcel.

Since it has been 8 weeks you could file an NSS. The seller has 7 days to respond
to the NSS.

Please consider that this seller most likely has shipped your order. If you chose
to go this route, what will you do if your order does arrive after being refunded?

If you place a different order with another store, you will still have to wait
for that order to be packed, shipped, and travel before it arrives to you. If
the missing order now shows up, will you be willing to send it back to the seller
at your cost? Would you be willing to repay for the order again if you were issued
a refund?

As a buyer, I do understand the frustration of not receiving an order in the
time frame that you wish. This happened to me recently where my order had not
arrived in 8 weeks. The day after I asked the seller to refund me for the order
and cancel it, the package arrived.

Communicate with your seller. Ask them to check on the status of your package.
You can also tell them that if the package does not arrive in another 7 days,
you will want a refund and to have the order canceled. Also remember to tell
them what you will do IF your order should arrive after you have been refunded.
