a hard time telling the color of this baseplate on the left. For reference the
one on the right is light blue grey. Is this light grey or yellowed LBG? Color
is very consistent on front and back and side to side.

Might just be me but the one on the left look like it got a layer of dust and
stuff on top so it might be best to wash it first

That was my first thought too but it's clean as a whistle. I have one 32x32
green plate that's caked in dust that's serving as a benchmark and is
currently being cleaned. The bottoms of both show the same color difference.

As I look at the photo though, I am going to take a closer look at it tomorrow
under broad daylight. It appears the LEGO logos are all rubbed flat on the left
one. I personally have no recollection of this plate at all as these were from
my childhood and stored away since the late 80's.
