I’ve never been in it, but it seems awesome and a lot easier then the forum.
Its 2023 and there are better ways to chat (most notably there are LEGO chat
rooms on Discord)
This is like a few weeks ago, when someone sent me to BrickOwl for a color name
chart since BL doesn't have one. BL should try to avoid people having to
leave BL for stuff.
Also I do have a discord account and it is so not the same thing. I would love
to see chat back.
When was this +-? I don't remember the chat, maybe because I only joined
in 2019.

LEGO is very concerned about more or less public discussions, and moderating
a chat would be very complicated, 24/24, multi-language (or all messages not
in English would be erased), and a HUGE risk for a Company which basically sells
toys to kids.
The risk and cost to this would be enormous, while the profit none.

in there exceed 10. It was seldom over 5 or 6. And unlike the forum, once the

There would have to be at least 3 chat rooms now
1 for regular chat
1 for Pizza Gang chat
1 for Mustard Gang chat
If not separated, there would be too much pizza and mustard flying around.

FWIW, you actually could create seperate chatrooms from the main one, complete
with password for entry. again, rarely happened. We would do that for the occasional
birthday.

My stats say I spent 88,936 minutes in chat. Yeah it was awesome. It was closed
due to a huge security vulnerability that no could/would fix.
I loved the chatroom. But yes, security was an issue, unfortunately. Someone
showed me that you could log in as any user in the chatroom, so that is probably
not ideal....

For me it was a lot harder. Things went by too quickly and there was little
time to think about what I wanted to say. Pondering a reply was not allowed.

Hi 🙂 i would love a chat here.🙂 But as was said in some comment, that it was
a safety risk and some say it was so quick going...Well, i am usually not that
fast if i write something into a chat or about to any place especially in
English.. . And i do not have Discord. I do not know that should i put Discord
to my phone and or to pc... Have so many things that interest me and it is really
difficult to choose 😐 For example between listening to something in internet,
making own videos, going out... Oh i wish there would be much more hours in one
day 😁

You can install Discord on both PC, phone and everywhere else you like, or just
use the web version. There are some great LEGO chat channels.
