| Just finished this 208-1 from 1978, it must be one of the earliest sets with
a minifigure. What year was the first set to include a minifigure ? Anyone know
?

An easy way to find out is to searxh for that classic minifig head
It was used in 34 sets in 1978 :

34 sets with minifigs released in 1978 I did not expect so many, birth of an
icon I was 9 years old in 1978 I did not have any minifigures in my lego suitcase
I had 358 rocket base London bus, house with car and the oil tanker with the
hull in sections and a lot of smaller stuff ! A child of the pre-fig era lol.

I did not think it would be possible to pin down the very first set out of the
34 released in 1978... I will take your word on that, now I want that one for
my collection, birth of an icon, no minifigs in my childhood collection!

Umm: "one of the first"

True 😝 however, if you watch the advertisements for it they would make it VERY
clear that it was the first (which, tbh, I don’t think they even know lol)
