I am about to list a few LEGO Inside Tour sets.

My challenge is that these are so rare that no useful price guides are available.
Even other channels for sale are so limited as to offer no real guidelines.

What would you do?
How would you price 4000001-1?

(yes, they are genuine, misb, real sets)

signatures or something

Thank you for the tip.
The link demonstrates my point - so few sales, that there is no solid ground
to base a price on (

I guess it boils down to the few collectors who might be willing to spend big
$$$ on the rare stuff.

PS
Other feedback is most welcome.

You mean $4,000,001.1, no?

I was thinking more along the lines of 4000001 - 1 = 4000000

If you have more than one 4000001, you might try selling one on an auction site
to getting a clearer idea of the market and then sell the rest here, where they
SHOULD be sold.

But aside from that if you have some time, just list a rare item like this on
the high end and see what happens. It can take a while to find the right customer,
but if it doesn't sell in 6 months, you could try marking it down to see
if that gets it done. It is on 313 wanted lists, but I expect MOST of those
people will never be willing to pay what the set costs. But people know about
the set and are interested in it, so when you post it you'll be able to send
a notification to those 313 people. You could put in the comments that you are
willing to negotiate the price, if you are in fact willing to negotiate it.

I wish I could open that set. There are a lot of undetermined pieces in there.
But the pieces inside aren't valuable and you should NOT sell it for a price
that I could afford!

I have great memories from this tour, I went on the it a long time ago, forgot
if it was 2005 or 2006.
I got the red racecar, I still have it somewhere, I never opened it.
Sets like these are hard to price, as others said, start high, and come down
on price if it does not sell, but be patient if you can afford it.

You can always open it and part it out, it's worth a whole $150 that way!

I would go high, $6,000-8,000 range, and see if you get any takers. Then drop
the price slowly. Your customer base for a set like this is very small.
